The past few days I created a mobile site for Memonic. During this I made use of some of the newly found knowledge from the past Webtuesday which Adrian Kosmaczewski was kind enough to share. I did a presentation at the March swiss.py user group meeting about using Python eggs. I hear a lot of bitching about Python’s packaging. Guido even managed to talk at lengths about the problems with it at his PyCon keynote talk. Here I am boldly saying almost the opposite: Python packaging rocks! Today is my last day at local.ch. I have been involved with that company since the beginning of 2005 with the initial prototypes. After my time in Peru I then started as a full-time employee in May 2006. That was a few days after the very first version of local.ch had gone live.
